This course delivers an overview of the healthcare delivery systems in the United States. It is designed to familiarize students with social, political, economic, demographic, cultural, financial, and technological forces that shape the organization, structure, and operation of the United States healthcare system.

AHHS 5213 Current Topics in Healthcare
This course will examine a range of current issues in healthcare including frameworks for understanding these issues and strategies for addressing these issues. Students will be prepared to identify, analyze, and evaluate a variety of challenges currently facing community, state, national and global health environments.

AHHS 5993 Healthcare Science Capstone
This course offers students an opportunity to integrate their coursework, knowledge, and experiences into a project that results in a written report and poster presentation regarding an issue within the field of health or healthcare. The project is a culminating experience in the health science program. Students will present their projects to their capstone class.
