The primary mission of the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) program is to prepare students for a career protecting the health and safety of workers. The faculty utilize theoretical knowledge and real-world experience to train individuals in the practice of safety and health for industry, government, and education. The program provides a broad base of academic and applied knowledge to build a career in safety.
The OSH Bachelor of Science Degree program has been a Qualified Academic Program (QAP) since 2016. Graduates of this program are qualified to receive the Graduate Safety Professional designation upon application to the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP).
